Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by helicopter (2022) for Tourists and Pilgrims who all are looking for some luxury trip with divine spirituality where we’ll fly to Simikot via Nepalgunj and Kathmandu by helicopter. The helicopter ride starts from Simikot and ends in Hilsa of Nepal – Tibet border. Stay one extra night in Purang (Taklakot) for the acclimatization toward Kailash. Drive for roughly 2 hours in the AC Volvo category bus to Mansarovar Lake and then start your Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake. Complete Holy Lake Parikrama of approx. 105 km by bus, take a dip, and perform Puja at divine Lake Mansarovar. After completing the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake proceed towards Darchen which is the base of Kailash Parikrama.

  1. Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival

    • Arrive at Kathmandu airport where our representative will greet you and transfer to hotel. 
    • En-route visit Pashupatinath Temple & other holy temples as well. 
    • Overnight Stay at 4 Star Hotel (Hotel Shankar / Hotel Royal Singi or similar).

  2. Day 2 Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

    • After your breakfast, we'll proceed to the airport and will fly for Nepalgunj and transfer to the hotel.
    • Our representative will brief you about Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in the evening.
    • Overnight stay at Nepalgunj in Hotel Siddhartha / Hotel Cygnett.

  3. Day 3 Nepalgunj -Simikot- Hilsa

    • Wake up early morning and drive to Nepalgunj airport. Catch the flight for Simikot and rest for few hours at Simikot followed by a helicopter ride to Hilsa. 
    • Wait for other group travellers to reach Hilsa and drive to Purang.
    • Overnight stay at Hotel Purang / Hotel Himalaya or similar.
    • Flight duration from Nepalgunj to Simikot is 40-50 mins and then 10-20 minutes helicopter ride from Simikot to Hilsa.

  4. Day 4 Acclimatization at Purang

    • You will be acclimatizing at Purang and might go for a small trek in preparation for Kailash Mansarovar Parikrama.
    • Overnight stay at Hotel Purang / Hotel Himalaya or similar. Purang is a small & very clean town with lots of shops having necessary items for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Parikrama as well. You can buy trekking sticks, water gallons for storing Holy Mansarovar Water, some packed juices & other necessary items.
    • Don’t forget to bargain because bargaining happens at almost every shop.

  5. Day 5 Purang to Mansarovar Lake

    • Start your journey to Mansarover Lake in the AC Volvo category bus (2hours) then proceed for Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake.
    • Take a dip along with performing Puja at divine Lake Mansarovar and complete the Parikrama of Lake Mansarovar in 2-3 hours covering around 105Km. 
    • While coming to Mansarovar Lake catch the first glimpse of Kailash Parvat. It's an overwhelming and undeniable view to see Divine Mount Kailash just next to Holy Lake Mansarovar.
    • Overnight stay at Guest House near Lake Mansarovar.
    • If weather permits, you can visit Lake Mansarovar in the night or early morning (Brahm Muhurt) too to witness the divinity of the place.

  6. Day 6 Mansarovar to Darchen

    • After a short drive from Lake Mansarovar, you will reach Darchen which is the base for Kailash Parikrama & Ashtapad darshan.
    • Important: We will visit Asthapad only if we get permission from Chinese authorities. 
    • Overnight stay in Hotel Himalaya or similar

  7. Day 7 First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

      • Wake up early in the morning and drive to Yamdwar where you’ll take the first step towards the Parikrama of Kailash Parvat and begin the trek to Dirapuk which is a 10Km trek on the first day of Mount Kailash Parikrama. Get enlighten and feel blessed by the darshan of North Face of Mount Kailash on the first day of Parikrama which is considered to be most auspicious.
      • Those who will not be going for Parikrama will travel from Yamdwar to Darchen which is just 30 minutes away and stay there in a Guest House for 2 nights and enjoy the undeniable view of the holy Mount Kailash.
      Important: Parikrama is optional. There are few who would be doing Parikrama by walk, few by horse & few old age people may not be doing Parikrama. Those who are not doing Parikrama will return from Yam Dwar to Guest House at Darchen. We will arrange meals & accommodation there. Holy Mount Kailash is easily visible from there & one can do puja from there too. People staying at Darchen will join other group members in 1st half once they complete 3rd day of Parikrama

  8. Day 8 Second Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

      • Wake up early morning on your second day of Kailash Parvat parikrama and start your trek of 22km from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and then to Zuthulpuk. It is said and also considered to be the most difficult part of the journey throughout the Kailash Parvat Yatra as you will be trekking up to 18,600ft height above sea level. From Doma, La Pass descends to Gauri Kund and further treks along with the river to Zuthulpuk.
      • Overnight stay – Lodge / Guest House.
      • On the 2nd day of your Mount Kailash Parikrama, the first 6-7 Km (till Dolma La Pass at 5600 m) has a very steep climb and is also considered the most difficult part of Yatra. All the yatris who are doing Parikrama of Kailash Parvat are advised to take a comfortable time to cover it & take rest whenever and wherever you feel any kind of problem. After 1st 6-7 KM, the remaining 16 KMs are comparatively plain, downwards, and comfortable. 
      Important: While performing Parikrama (Day 2) you will pass through Shivasthal (A sacred place for Tibetans & believed that whatever you offer here, get it in Heaven) & Gauri Kund.  After Dolma La Pass it's a long pleasant trekking way beside the river. You will see the East Face of Mount Kailash here. 

  9. Day 9 Drive to Purang

    • The third and last day of Mount Kailash Parikrama is about 8 km and takes almost 3 Hrs to complete.
    • Generally, we complete the Parikrama by 9:00-10:00 am.
    • After completing Parikrama we will drive to Darchen and merge with other members of the tour who didn't go for Mount Kailash Parikrama and then drive to Dongba.
    • Overnight stay in the Hotel (Xixa Panama, Mu being Chung or similar).

  10. Day 10 Hilsa - Nepalgunj - Kathmandu

    • Drive to Hilsa by AC luxury vehicle and fly back to Simikot by Helicopter followed by Nepalgunj and Kathmandu by flight.
    • Overnight stay at 4 Star Hotel (Hotel Shankar / Hotel Royal Singi or similar).

  11. Day 11 Departure from Kathmandu

    • After b/f free to proceed for your home destination with blessings of Lord Shiva!!

  12. Day 12 Dongba to Kyirong

    Start driving to Kyirong County – 270 km / 5.5 hrs. Overnight stay at hotel

  13. Day 13 Drive to Kathmandu

    • Drive back to Kathmandu via the Rasuwagadhi border after completing immigration formalities.
    • Total driving is around 8-10 hr covering 265 km.
    • Overnight stay at the Star Hotel (Hotel Vaishali, Manang, or similar).

  14. Day 14 Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, you are free until your flight time. We will drop you at the Airport 1-2 hours before flight time (30 mins drive).
