SKY DIVING
Experience The Thrill of a Lifetime!
The Tandem skydive is by far the most popular way to make your first skydive. With minimal ground training, you are able to experience the exhilaration of freefall for nearly one minute before your tandem jumpmaster opens the parachute.
After approximately 20 minutes of instruction, you and your tandem jumpmaster will ascend in the aircraft to an altitude of at least 2 miles.
Before you exit, your jump master will attach you to a special tandem harness. Safely connected and ready for freefall, you will both exit the airplane and freefall together until you have descended to an altitude of 5000 when the parachute will be pulled. The canopy (parachute) ride will last 4-5 minutes.
Tandem prices vary depending on your choice of location, altitude, video etc.
You must be 18 years old to make a Tandem Skydive in most places.
Why do people Skyjump ?
There are many reasons why people jump out of perfectly good airplanes.....
From the adrenaline rush to the quiet beauty of riding down to earth under
one of today's modern parachutes, skydiving has it all.
For some it is the sense of adventure or conquering fears while for others it is the need for speed and the thrill of flying through the air.
Whatever the reason, skydiving today is as diverse in its rewards as it is in the people who take the plunge!!! As about Sky Diving in India, at present its not allowed commercially. Infact, Extreme Sports in India are yet to be developed. This could happen partly with increase in number of active and 'real' adrenaline driven extreme sport lovers and partly with changes in Government policies, related to permissions etc. Skydiving in India is actively practiced by the defence services.
There is a great social scene associated with the sport. You get to meet new
and exciting people, and close relationships are easily formed with time spent
in such a great environment. We find ourselves meeting over and over again,
sometimes all over the world as we travel to different places to jump.
Although some skydivers choose to make the sport a profession, or compete
very intensely, most people enjoy it as a recreational hobby on weekends.
Many never make more than that first jump, but it something they carry
around proudly with them for the rest of their lives.
Please Note: Details provided here are for information purpose only. At present Treks 'n Rapids DOES NOT organise Sky Diving anywhere in India.
